Great Quote for Obama

"We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle."
-Winston Churchill

Hey, Obama, chew on that you socialist nitwit.

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."
- Norman Thomas (US Socialist Presidential Candidate)

You just don't get it do you? You call Obama a socialist. Do you really think that we have free markets, do you? And you hurl the word Socialist like it's slur. Every economy is a blend of communism, socialism and capitalism.

You complain about the guy who hasn't even won.

How about the TRILLIONS spend in the last two months to bail out the bigshots who don't need a bailout!?!?! Is that socialism to you?

Why do you think capital gains should be taxed at a lower rate than wages?

Why do you think that having a ceiling on FICA contributions is a good thing?

Why do you think taxing your employer provided health insurance benefits as income is a good thing?

If you make less than $250,000 a year you will do better under the Obama plan then the McCain plan.

BTW I'm not voting for Obama. I don't like him. Not voting for McCain either.

On that second quote, I'd say we're over half way there. An Obammy win with a Dimocrat majority will cinch up the other half.....

I actually don't get a great many things. However I do "get" what socialism is. And having lived in the PRM for my entire life I know what the democratic agenda is, it's pure socialism. Complete and utter dependence on the state for food, education, protection and even liberty. Like a government can distribute liberty! Ha!

And I agree that we are not in a free market, but what market is free? Just because there is some oversight or regulation doesn't instantly make any market a communist or socialist one.

I never said anything about capital gains taxes or FICA ceilings. Please do not assume my stance on anything unless it's posted. And I might flip-flop just to keep everyone on their toes.

Although I may be financially better under Obama, doesn't mean I'll be better off on the whole. Then again even the "tax cut" might just be complete crap the second he's elected...
